241 Books anchors every fun, engaging book with science of reading literacy skills. Each book focuses on specific prefixes, suffixes, root words, and vocabulary. By pairing fiction with nonfiction, we strengthen comprehension and real-world connections. Every unit also includes multiple opportunities for students to write and ends with a carefully designed assessment that helps students practice key ELA skills such as finding the main idea, using context clues, and writing to different prompts.

Each of our flexible units is designed with ease-of-use for the teacher in mind. Suggestions in the Teacher’s Guide provide extra support to learners who need it. Instruction is multi-modal and includes video, audio, hands-on activities, writing, and speaking. In addition, many activities are created for flexible collaboration. Finally, these units provide enough content with the option to be taught over the course of a few days to a few weeks.
